Update: Thank You & What’s Next

What a week!
We’ve now passed 1,500 signatures, and I want to start by saying a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s signed, shared, or reached out with encouragement. 💚
This journey has been eye-opening, not just in what it revealed about Woolworths’ decisions, but about how much passion exists in the plant-based community. I know emotions have run high in a few places online, and that’s okay. It just shows how much we all care.
Some people have said that petitions like this can do more harm than good. I understand that concern, change is complex, and big companies don’t always respond the way we hope. But I truly believe that respectful visibility and open conversation help more than silence ever could.
There’s also been some robust discussion within the vegan community this week, including posts from Fussy Vegan. While we may differ on approach, I appreciate that we all ultimately want the same thing: better access to plant-based options and a stronger voice for vegan consumers. The more perspectives we have, the more we can learn and refine the path forward. 🌿
And it is being heard, our story has now been featured by Nine News and Yahoo News, which means this issue has reached a national audience. That’s a huge step in the right direction. 🌏
I started this petition not as an expert or activist, but as a frustrated shopper who thought: maybe if I try, something good might come of it.
Even though I know it won’t be easy to change a giant like Woolworths, I still think it’s worth trying.
As John Lennon said, “Some may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” 💚
So the next step is clear, I’ll be reaching out to Woolworths directly to invite them into a constructive conversation about their plant-based range and the idea of a Vegan Product Advisory Group.
Thank you again for proving that hope and collaboration still matter.
Let’s keep moving forward, respectfully, determinedly, and together.
