Thank you to everyone who has joined this campaign and showed such passion for the protection of our fragile planet! Because of you, supermarket giants Woolworths and Coles have both responded, promising that they are now committed to reducing their plastic use. Woolworths and Coles have removed tonnes of plastic packaging in the last few months. By June 30th 2018, Woolworths will have RedCycle bins in every store. Coles will have them available in almost 800 stores Australia-wide. This means we can recycle plastics right there in-store! Please look out for these bins and use them. This victory is one that requires vigilance so please don’t stop looking out for ways in which these supermarket giants can be more environmentally friendly and if you see something, then message Woolworths and Coles directly to remind them of their promise. We’ll be watching them. If this is an issue you’re passionate about, you can start your own petition on Change.org via change.org/start Again, thank you for pushing this issue so far forwards - it wouldn’t have happened without your signatures, your passion and your pressure. Keep up the people power, Alex and Pat
