We have appointed a solicitor with 20 years experience in mediating between insurance companies loss adjusters and councils' that are claimed against. The solicitor has read all of the information to hand and Peterborough City Council's (PCC) various statements that they have made recently. PCC say root barriers are "expensive" but have not had a quote. PCC say root barriers may fail. Wrong, root barriers are guaranteed not to fail. PCC say root barriers mean that the house will be uninsurable and un mortgageable. Wrong. Insurance companies and Lenders accept root barriers as a repair the same as they would underpinning. So no problem. Our MP Paul Bristow continues to support us and has written a letter to every resident of Ringwood Bretton to assure us that he is doing everything he can to save this magnificent Oak for us and future generations.
This work has come at a cost which we have covered out of savings. A gofundme fundraiser has been started to help with these costs. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far.
If you can make a donation this would be greatly appreciated !

There has been a flurry of media interest recently as we have had a meeting with the scrutiny committee and more recently a meeting with PCC Cabinet. Please help stop PCC with their false and wrong information and help save this tree. This case may set a precedent and save many more ancient trees from unnecessary felling. There is no Planet "B" .
