Withhold The Disgraced Huw Edwards' £300,000 BBC Pension.

Withhold The Disgraced Huw Edwards' £300,000 BBC Pension.
The Issue
In light of the indecent images convictions against him, the disgraced Huw Edwards now has the privilege of retiring on a £300,000 a year pension, funded by British license fee payers. This at a time, when many families are struggling to afford basic necessities, let alone a tv license, however many still do.
Mr. Edwards will likely though unemployable, spend the rest of his life a rich man. Meanwhile the victims that remain alive, featuring in these vile, disgusting and criminal images (no matter their financial status) have to live with the trauma of sexual abuse, forever. This grossly insults these victims, all victims and those who pay to watch BBC content. A more appropriate course of action would be for the BBC to withhold that money and reallocate the funds to charities supporting victims of sexual exploitation everywhere, especially children.
Mr. Edwards is the latest of a string of prominent former employees of the BBC, who have been found to have engaged in, criminal, immoral and reprehensible behaviour. I think totally unbecoming of a trusted, global billion pound brand, as the BBC has been for a very long time. We the law abiding citizen's of the U.K must send an unequivocal message, that we will not stand for this.
The BBC has asked disgraced presenter Huw Edwards to hand back the £200,000 salary he earned after being arrested for having indecent images of children. The corporation knew the 62-year-old presenter had been arrested last November but continued to pay his salary until he resigned on medical advice this April. Edwards had been the BBC's highest-paid newsreader, with its accounts putting him in a pay bracket of between £475,000 and £479,999 for 2023/24. This was a £40,000 pay rise from 2022/23, when he was paid between £435,000 and £439,999. The BBC has been publishing the pay of individual stars since 2016/17. It has been calculated that Mr. Edwards has earned approximately £3,859,992 in eight years.
