Immediately withdraw UK financial and military aid from Israel.

Immediately withdraw UK financial and military aid from Israel.
The Issue
The UK govt cannot continue to encourage the collective punishment of Palestine, without explicit permission from the UK population. Some polls show as much as 73% of us support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza — yet our government abstained from endorsing one in a UN vote. To insist that Israel act more responsible in their retaliation is not antisemitic. Every state with organised and powerful military must take accountability for how they use their arsenal.
It is now confirmed that Israel knowingly bombed a refugee camp, killing 10s of civilians after instructing them to leave their homes temporarily. There is evidence of use of white phosphorous, banned under the Geneva convention, and video evidence of Israeli forces killing citizens. Our government cannot be continue to be complicit in the slaughter of innocents and the inevitable creation of extremism that will follow.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak,
We petition for the immediate withdrawal of UK financial and military aid from the Israeli state until Netanyahu can guarantee the safe passage of the 2+ million innocent citizens of Gaza, many of whom are already without vital necessities such as food, medicine and electricity.
As of the 16th October 2023 the BBC has confirmed what it considers to be irrefutable video footage of Israel bombing a convoy of 70 innocents, just days after they were told by the Israeli state to leave Gaza under pressure from the UN. Whether accidental or intentional is simply unacceptable for an advanced state like Israel and far from the level of standards that we should hold ally states.
This comes after Israel, which has been criticised as in breach of international law, has besieged Gaza — restricting food, water and military supplies to the people of Gaza — forcing them to choose starvation and risk of being killed by bombing or risk fleeing their homeland. All this whilst Israel has refuses to accept refugees fleeing Gaza, choosing instead to force them to cross the Rafah border into Egypt. A state that has publicly said they do not intend on welcoming Palestinians for it will make Israel’s claim to the territory easier.
Whilst the international focus, media, and dominant discussion focuses on the atrocities caused by Hamas, the people of Gaza unnecessarily suffer.
Yet Israel has the defensive upper hand and reigns down airstrike after airstrike on one of the most densely populated areas on Earth.
This petition calls for the UK Government to immediately withdraw its support to Israel and make it absolutely conditional on the basis of international law being followed and the guarantee of safety for fleeing innocents. Disproportionate reactions only amount to state-condoned terrorism which the UK must refuse.
Rishi, standing up for life should not be a partisan or controversial issue.
Standing for the Palestinian people is not the same as standing for Hamas.
Act today Prime Minister, or blood will be on your hands,
The British Public
