Hello Maryland Homeschool Supporters,

The Ways and Means Committee still needs to hear our voice!  The hearing yesterday just confirms what we already suspected about the disingenuous intent of HB832.  There were only three supportive witness testimonies presented yesterday and they were drowned out by dozens of opposition statements.  Even with the overwhelming opposition Delegate Ruth will not withdraw her bill. The three supportive testimonies were riddled with impugning statements and lacked any substantive examples to support the proposed HB832.  Please continue to call, email, twitter, and facebook all of the ways and means committee delegates.  We can’t let them put this bill in a drawer and slip it under the radar at a later date. Delegate Ruth made a public statement on social media disqualifying the validity of this petition.  She is suggesting that out of state signatures make the petition null and void.  Please check your signature and ensure that it was not geolocated in another state.  Only the signatures of Maryland residents can be considered as opposition to HB832.  Keep fighting for Maryland Homeschool freedom!
