We recently obtained documents via a Freedom of Information Request to the Wisconsin DNR. Read documents here: http://www.friendsblackriverforest.org/breaking-news.html These documents show Kohler Company correspondence and their requests to the Wisconsin DNR and Governor Walker requesting our public lands be used for their private profit. The information contained in these documents is astounding. Here is a letter written directly to Governor Walker. Kohler Company requests to lease 32.5 acres of OUR public land. http://www.friendsblackriverforest.org/assets/dnr-docs-marked.pdf (Page 36) This parcel consists of many many feet of beautiful sandy beach, dunes, swales, and mature forest. It is home to many species of wildlife and birds. Yet, the Kohler Company refers to this parcel as "relatively innocuous.” Please continue to share this petition and let the Wisconsin DNR hear your voice. Wisconsin state lands belong to the residents of Wisconsin.
