📢 UPDATE: 4,000 Strong! The Fight for an Affordable Winnipeg Begins Friday
We did it! Our petition has officially reached 4,000 signatures. This isn't just a list of names; it is a mandate for change.

As the mayoral election process officially kicks off this Friday, May 1st, we are sending a clear message to City Hall: Winnipeg is no longer for sale. We are standing up for our seniors on fixed incomes, our struggling families, and every resident who is tired of being treated like an ATM.

🛑 The Hard Truth: The $79 Million "Windfall"
While you struggle to pay your bills, the City’s Water and Waste Utility reported a massive $79 million surplus in 2025.

The City's Excuse: They claim "unexpectedly high usage" and "dry weather" led to this profit.

Our Reality: That $79 million came directly out of your pockets. While the City celebrates a "positive variance," many of our neighbors are seeing bills jump from $400 to over $1,000.

🗳️ Our Power is the Ballot
This Friday marks the beginning of our struggle for a Newer Winnipeg. We are not just advocates; we are a voting bloc.

Our Demand: Reverse water and utility hikes back to 2024 levels.
Our Promise: We will soon announce a Mayor Candidate who actually listens to the people—someone committed to using city surpluses to provide relief, not just to pad bureaucratic budgets.
✊ The "15-for-1" Challenge
To take back City Hall, we must grow. We are asking every supporter to become an advocate:

Convince 15 people in your circle to commit to voting for a mayor who supports our cause.
Share this petition with them and explain how the $79M surplus belongs to the taxpayers.
Check in on your neighbors, especially the elderly, and help them understand how their vote can lower their bills.
The struggle starts May 1st. Let’s make our voices heard at the ballot box!
