Reverse Water Bill hikes has now 3700 signatures

Update: Our Basic Human Rights are at Stake
According to the United Nations Human Rights Convention, access to water and sanitation is a fundamental human right. UN standards dictate that the cost of water and sewage services should not exceed 3% of a household's total budget. In Winnipeg, current hikes are pushing us past this limit, resulting in a direct violation of our basic rights.
We are at a critical turning point. Our collective voice has already brought together 3,700 supporters who refuse to accept these unaffordable utility and service hikes. We want to congratulate and thank every one of you who has stood up for our community so far.
However, our work isn't finished. We need just 300 more signatures to reach our goal of 4,000. Hitting this target is essential to command the attention of Winnipeg’s media outlets and put the necessary pressure on the Mayor and the Provincial government to reverse these changes.
High utility costs are not just a financial burden—they are a violation. Please wake up, speak louder, and share this petition with your neighbors and friends. Let’s reach 4,000 today and ensure our right to affordable living is respected.
