In light of the May 17th Executive Order 2021-10 (EO) by Governor Pritzker, and the May 17th Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announcement that the Emergency Rule 690.50, we are petitioning the Winnetka School District 36 (D36) School Board to help ensure that children will have the option to wear face coverings, now and in the 2021-2022 school year.  

On May 17th, the Illinois Department of Public Health issued an Emergency Repeal of IDPH Emergency Rule 690.50 Control of Communicable Disease Code- Mask and Capacity Limitations. IDPH Emergency Repeal of Emergency Rule 690.50  Because we know that ISBE gets guidance on public health requirements from the IDPH, we feel that this repeal should be applicable to the D36 schools.
