Every hour Wing Stop is in operation they are cranking out orders of wings which are, well, really tasty. But those orders are accompanied by something damaging and toxic- styrofoam packaging for to-go wings and cups during both dine-in and takeout. The jury is out that single-use items are damaging our planet by creating massive amounts of waste, all for just a few minutes of use, for the sake of convenience. Plus they leach toxic chemicals into our bodies and environment, polluting us and our planet. Fortunately, there are many alternatives to foam that can be adopted by companies that are good quality and break down much better. It's just a matter of making it known to companies that they are damaging our planet with their products and that current or potential customers are NOT okay with that. Many Americans are trying to reduce their waste, but companies who are not adapting more sustainable containers for their products are making the process much more difficult than it should be. 

Signing this petition means that you care about holding companies accountable for the waste they are producing with your voice. 

 It's true companies may have to pay a little more for these products, but choosing sustainable packaging helps conserve non-renewable resources like oil, reduces plastic and foam waste that often goes un-recycled. Companies need to think of people and the planet at the same time they are talking about their profit. If they do not, it begs the question: If profit means damaging their customer's lives, do they truly value the customer?

There are no "perfect" solutions for single-use items for things like take-out, aside from bringing your own reusable container. Unfortunately, that has been restricted due to the pandemic. Here are some of the types of alternative containers. Many can be branded and used as an alternative.

I'm calling on Wingstop's staff, managers, and CEOs to call for reducing their footprint. I'm sure they want to be remembered for good wings, not the trash those wings leave behind forever.
