Keep two of the Children's Centres in Trowbridge open

The Issue

Wiltshire Council has put forward a proposal to change the way that Children’s Centre Services are provided across the county. Part of that proposal is to close two of Trowbridge’s Children’s Centres (Bellefield and Longfield) leaving Studley Green as the only remaining Children’s Centre in Trowbridge. As concerned residents of the town we feel that this will not provide adequate provision of drop-in services for families living in all areas of Trowbridge and the surrounding villages. We, the undersigned, request that Wiltshire Council consider keeping two of the Children’s Centres in Trowbridge open, as we believe that this will facilitate a less drastic cut to drop-in support services for parents, families and children in the town.
