Wildlife Trapper Blatantly Violated Law - Killed Wildlife - Must Be Held Accountable

Wildlife Trapper Blatantly Violated Law - Killed Wildlife - Must Be Held Accountable
The Issue
Join us in asking the Los Angeles County District Attorney to uphold California Law that protects people, pets, and wildlife.
California Wildlife Trapping Regulation 465.5 (g)(3) protects residents, their children and pets from dangerous - potentially lethal traps, by requiring trappers notify and obtain written consent from all surrounding homeowners within 150 yards of a trap location.
This regulation also ensures property owners have a say in what happens to our shared natural resources - our wildlife, held in trust by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
There is evidence that shows the City of Torrance, and consequently their wildlife exterminator, Jimmie Rizzo, AKA Coyote, Wildlife & Pest Solutions, Inc., were well aware of this law, yet Rizzo’s trapping reports indicate for over two years he set snares at locations that would have required consent from numerous property owners. A dozen or more at one location!
According to the City of Torrance, no such signatures were obtained:
"There have been no consent agreements with residents since Community Services Department assumed the Coyote program. So we have no response records."
This petition is urging the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to accept the case and file criminal charges for Jimmie Rizzo's deliberate disregard for 465.5 (g)(3).
To: George Gascón, District Attorney for Los Angeles County,
Respectfully, we ask that the you accept report(s) submitted by the Department of Fish and Wildlife pertaining to possible wildlife trapping violations in the City of Torrance by wildlife exterminator Jimmie Rizzo, AKA Coyote, Wildlife & Pest Solutions, Inc.
We hope you find the evidence irrefutable and choose to file criminal charges for the numerous and repeated violations of trapping regulation 465.5 (g)(3).
Such blatant disregard for the law must not go unpunished.
Thank you!
