Open Letter Denouncing Gadfly Papers

The Issue

TARAOM Public Statement

In alignment with our covenant of Beloved Community, the Wildflower Team for Anti Racism, Anti Oppression and Multiculturalism team prioritizes racial equity, inclusion, and social justice as core components of our faith and works.

We hereby publicly denounce the Gadfly papers, written and self published by Todd Eklof to be wholly in opposition to the tenets of the UU faith and our mission as Wildflowers to spread Love, Justice  and Joy.

We encourage members of Wildflower Church to engage in the ongoing development of racial consciousness, Courageous Conversations about Race, and take action related to social justice issues in our Beloved Community.

As members of Wildflower and Beloved Community members, we have no tolerance for racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, sexist, ableist or classist ideology.

We are committed to creating and sustaining a spiritual community that is a radically inclusive and welcoming space.

Signed in solidarity with our Wildflowers of the Global Majority; Wildflower Community Partners; UUMA People of Color and Indigenous Chapter; to read their full response click here UUMCPOCI ;
