Artifishal is a film about the high cost of hatcheries, fish farms and human arrogance. We made this film for several reasons: As anglers, we recognize that wild fish are the only way to ensure that fishing is there for our kids and theirs. As taxpayers, we are dismayed at the gross misuse of public money being wasted on a system that not only doesn't work, but actually contributes to the problem it claims to solve. And finally, as concerned residents of our home planet, we view hatcheries and fish farms as part of a disturbing trend: The willful ignorance of scientific fact for political expediency.
