WWE Hall of Famer, Davey Boy Smith to be in Wigan Walk of Fame.
Davey Boy Smith is a WWE Hall of Famer, also known as “The British Bulldog.” Davey Boy Smith enthused generations of British people fans to pay attention to the WWE. Davey Boy Smith was born and raise in Wigan, England and the people of Wigan is proud of their homeland son for not only putting Wigan on the map but for putting the entire United Kingdom on the WWE map as a tag team and as a single competitor. Davey Boy Smith was the first European Champion, as will multiple times tag team champion. Davey Boy Smith won the hearts of thousands of fans all over the world when he defeated Bret “Hitman” Hart at Wembley Stadium, in front of over 80,000 of his countrymen. He married Diana Hart in the famous Hart family. Unfortunately, on May 18th 2002, Davey Boy Smith passed away. But his legacy lives on.
We are campaigning and to plead with Wigan Council in the United Kingdom for Davey Boy Smith to be recognised on the Wigan Walk of Fame in his hometown to help to keep his legacy alive for generations to come and for the people in Wigan and all over the world to come to Wigan to pay their respects to this legend who is known as “the legendary and WWE Hall of Famer,” The British Bulldog.
