A couple of weeks ago I wrote to inform you the Fleece Hotel has been sold. I advised the owner to use Ashton's long-standing Estate Agents Kelrick Properties and when you walk past Fleece again you will see the sold sign erected. I can confirm that a structural survey of the property is taking place next week and agreements are being drawn up. From closure, I have advised and supported the new owner from start to finish to ensure we not only restore the building but enhance it for our community. This nightmare for me has taken three years of my life from the start when the criminal wanted to set up an illegal nightclub for his money-laundering activities. Everything I have done has been to protect our local community and even when the fraudster absconded I took sole responsibility for the building to ensure I used my experience to keep the building safe and bring about a use that would be beneficial for our local community and town. As a result of it's impending development two play areas in our town will have spent on them approximately twenty thousand pounds to enhance the facilities.
