I am pleased to report that despite their original planning application being invalidated the owners of The Fleece have still to submit a valid planning application to Wigan Council. I am informed it is still their intentions to do so. We therefore need to be prepared. Wigan Council have agreed the Licensing Act was breached when they awarded the 4.00 am license. However, they have decided the consultation was not prejudiced as a result of the error. I am now getting advice on this. I will report back asap. On Friday evening drunk revellers smashed a window at The Fleece after a brawl in Warrington Rd, a few feet away from shops and residents. This was at 11.00 pm. This sort of thing happening until 5.00 am is unacceptable. Please continue to share our petition with friends, family, facebook and twitter. We need as many signatures as possible. Thank you.
