Breastfeeding Together have been funded by Wigan Council to provide a Breastfeeding Peer Support Service across Wigan borough. We have been notified by the council our funding is at risk and we need to identify new funding streams for the service to continue. Breastfeeding Peer Support is a vital part of maternity and early years services across the borough. Without the service essential information and support for babies, children, mothers, families, health professionals and many more will cease to exist. The impact this will have across the borough will be devastating. Wigan's Breastfeeding Peer Support Service is an award winning service, recognised within NICE guidelines as an exemplary peer support service.
