STOP New 6 Lane Motorway Wrecking Communities

STOP New 6 Lane Motorway Wrecking Communities
The Issue
Did you know that a new 6-lane motorway with up-to 80,000 cars, trucks & buses is proposed for this area?
WE NEED YOUR HELP to STOP THIS!
A group of concerned residents from Delgany, Bellevue, Drummi, Valley View, Glen of the Downs, Kilmurray, Foxborough Lane, Ballydonagh, Calary and Kilpedder have come together.
If this is not stopped it will destroy forever the beautiful natural landscape of Delgany, Kilpedder, and the hinterlands, severing communities and destroying homes and businesses.
If you didn’t know about it, you’re not alone. That’s because the road planners and engineers haven’t told many people. They haven’t told people who will be affected by the noise, pollution, and disruption, not to mention the impact it will have in severing communities, wrecking local businesses, homes, and farms and destroying local heritage amenities. In addition, the huge costs, significant engineering problems of traversing the valley between Blackberry Lane and Delgany Golf Club, the diversion of watercourses and damage to wells seem not to have been considered.
Proposed routes will tear through greenbelts, farms, businesses, homes, sports facilities and destroy the heart of Delgany Village and Kilpedder.
The so-called ‘Pink’ and ‘Orange’ routes both slice through Delgany Golf Club and the valley below. These two proposed 6 lane motorway routes destroy the heart of Delgany Village and the surrounding areas of natural beauty. They also severely hamper access to the schools, shops, restaurants, bars, and the facilities we all enjoy and use every day.
The 'Cyan' route has similar constraints and severely impacts Kilpedder Village and has a huge visual impact at the foot of the Sugarloaf Mountain and The Downs Hill, affecting homes, farms and the natural landscape.
