Petition updateWhy The United States of America Should Adopt The Convention On The Rights Of The Child

An Update For 2026 And Pope Leo's Call For The USA To Ratify The CRC

Stephen SempelReno, NV, United States
Oct 29, 2026

Over a year since The Remigration Campaign/Trump's Mass Deportation Program (which is correctly ruled as Ethnic Cleansing By The UN ) has begun under The Trump Administration. Since that time, The Trump Administration has separated Families, killed US Citizen observers of Human Rights Violations, has Psychologically Tortured, Raped Child Detainees in ICE Detention Facilities and Tortured Detainees and killed Detainees in ICE Detention Facilities (I've had done over 15+ Human Rights Complaint Cases to the UN's Office Of The High Commissioner of The Human Rights Council) and have documented human rights violations on my TikTok and other social medias).

Since then, even earlier this past month, Pope Leo has made a Decree that the USA should ratify The Convention On The Rights Of The Child (which I covered in my Human Rights Presentation Video).

Human Rights Presentation Synopsis:

Early October Reflections: Why What You Do To Children God Will Judge You Severely And A Call To Protect Children: “Jesus weeps all across our nation for the Children who have been arrested, detained, transported to far-off centers with terrible living conditions, and cut off from their families. For us as a nation we can pass by no more. We must stop, recognize the Evil that is being carried out in our name, and fight every dimension of it. We must seek to convert our political representatives from tolerating this evil or replace them." - Cardinal Mc'Elroy. With Children being "Disabled" /abused/psychologically tortured in Federal Detention Facilities such as Dilly, with Human Rights being Violated nearly daily here in the USA, with Children losing Legal Protections/Legal Counsel in purposely rushed immigration courts in the Administration’s Mass Deportation Program which is correctly ruled as Ethnic Cleansing By The UN. A reminder: ““See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬. What you do to Children God is going to Judge Severely. As an Priest and Certified Human Rights Consultant, I will remind you (those of Faith) that Pope Leo has called us to protect Children and help Legally enact/enforce by Peaceful Means International Law to Protect Children, especially in these Evil acts by the Administration: ""Even just one of these children: Before this tragic reality, my thoughts turn to the words of Jesus that profoundly challenge our consciences: “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mt 18:5). It is not a question of numbers or statistics. The Gospel invites us not to calculate: even one. Every child, every human being, possesses an infinite dignity. Each is created in the image and likeness of God (cf. Gen 1:26); each is a presence of the Lord. Before every migrant child, we are called to make an act of humanity and faith, for we are able to welcome and encounter the Lord. This call becomes even more pressing in the light of another of the Lord’s affirmations in the Gospel of Matthew: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Mt 25:35)." "Sadly, migrant children are more easily ignored, because they lack adults capable of protecting and supporting them. It is necessary, then, to intervene in their countries of origin in order to remove the causes that compel them to flee, while at the same time offering protection and welcome in the countries of transit and destination. The cry of displaced children rises to God today, just as did the cry heard in the Book of Exodus: “I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them” (Ex 3:7–8). God hears their cry and, in order to bring about liberation, he forcefully appeals to the conscience and action of each one of us, just as he did with Moses. We cannot remain indifferent, nor can we become accustomed to such suffering. An appeal to the responsibility of all: Even just one of these children calls each one of us, in our personal lives, to open our eyes and heart to a profound listening to his or her story, fears and dreams, overcoming that detachment which reduces the human person to a statistic that does not directly concern us. It is an invitation to recognize the dignity of each child, even before considering the condition of being a “migrant,” and to safeguard his or her fundamental rights: the right to life, education and a standard of living that enables full physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development. Even just one of these children calls us, in the life of the Church, to transform welcoming from an abstract concept into a stable pastoral practice”- MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS POPE LEO XIV FOR THE 112th WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES: MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS POPE LEO XIV

Pope Leo XIV Letter: "Even Just One of These Children (cf. Mt 18:10)":

"Dear brothers and sisters,

"Each year the World Day of Migrants and Refugees invites us to turn our attention to different aspects of the complex phenomenon of migration. For this 112th World Day, the theme, “Even just one of these children,” draws our attention to the minors directly involved in the experience of migration and flight, to the care owed to them, and to the Lord’s promise that “whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mk 9:37)."

Displaced minors: a complex reality of vulnerability"
"Minors are the most vulnerable group within the global movements of migration. They are concrete faces, who have unique stories, and call on our conscience. Every year, millions of children and adolescents are forced to leave their homeland because of war, poverty, violence, environmental disasters and other tragedies. Sadly, their number continues to grow. The economic, political and military consequences of this disaster are immense. The suffering of migrant children does not end with their relocation. There are very young children who have lost parents, brothers, sisters and friends, and who have witnessed unspeakable acts of violence. Others, separated from their families for long periods, try to reunite with them while enduring the anguish of separation. There are also minors who make the journey together with their parents, yet are exposed to extreme and traumatic conditions. Finally, we cannot forget the tragic situation of those separated from their parents because of repatriation. To this already appalling situation are added further tragedies: deaths along migration routes, trafficking and exploitation, the recruitment of minors for use in armed conflicts, sexual violence, forced marriages, and the atrocities they have suffered or witnessed during their travels. Their dignity is trampled upon in countless ways."

"In his Message for the 2017 World Day of Migrants and Refugees, dedicated to the theme “Child Migrants, the Vulnerable and the Voiceless", Pope Francis recalled that migrant children “in a threefold way are defenceless: they are children, they are foreigners, and they have no means to protect themselves. I ask everyone to help those who, for various reasons, are forced to live far from their homeland and are separated from their families.”

"Yet, amid so much darkness, the light of solidarity is not lacking. Individuals, families, civil institutions and ecclesial communities choose not to pass by on the other side (cf. Lk 10:29-37). We think of the families who open the doors of their homes in order to restore to these children the warmth of a family hearth; the educators who serve in reception centers; the volunteers and aid workers who each day devote themselves to healing the invisible wounds of these little ones along migration routes and in our cities. They bear witness through their commitment that love can overcome indifference."

"Even just one of these children: Before this tragic reality, my thoughts turn to the words of Jesus that profoundly challenge our consciences: “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me” (Mt 18:5). This call becomes even more pressing in the light of another of the Lord’s affirmations in the Gospel of Matthew: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Mt 25:35)."

"Sadly, migrant children are more easily ignored, because they lack adults capable of protecting and supporting them. We cannot remain indifferent, nor can we become accustomed to such suffering."

"An appeal to the responsibility of all: Even just one of these children calls each one of us, in our personal lives, to open our eyes and heart to a profound listening to his or her story, fears and dreams, overcoming that detachment which reduces the human person to a statistic that does not directly concern us. It is an invitation to recognize the dignity of each child, even before considering the condition of being a “migrant,” and to safeguard his or her fundamental rights: the right to life, education and a standard of living that enables full physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development. Even just one of these children calls us, in the life of the Church, to transform welcoming from an abstract concept into a stable pastoral practice. We cannot simply delegate this task to institutes or associations endowed with a particular charism. Before the concrete faces that confront us in daily life, the entire Christian community is called to regard these children as its own sons and daughters, and to engage with the concrete story of each one of them. Christian communities should be encouraged to promote the integration of refugees and migrants and to value them as full members of the ecclesial family, fostering new educational and spiritual paths, including personalized ones, which go beyond the mentality of mere assistance. In particular, it is essential to prevent the solitude, isolation and rejection that not infrequently also affect the children of migrants; and to promote opportunities for encounter and integration in which local young people and young migrants can support each other along a path of mutual respect, solidarity and friendship."

""Even just one of these children, within the horizon of the different religions, reminds us that the vulnerability of the young knows no religious boundaries and unites us in a shared humanitarian and spiritual responsibility. This becomes fertile ground for a concrete interreligious dialogue, in which believers, drawing upon their own sense of transcendence, cooperate in weaving networks of protection. Faith communities are called to create spaces in which every boy and every girl is respected and valued in his or her own cultural identity, thereby preventing the risk of radicalization by extremist groups. Ultimately, to protect a child is to safeguard the divine image imprinted within him or her. Even just one of these children, in the context of civil institutions, calls us to reaffirm the principle of the best interests of the child. Public and private institutions are bound to prioritise the protection and dignity of every single child and adolescent. This requires the adoption of effective legal instruments of protection, the promotion of family reunification, and the prevention of the trauma caused by separation. An urgent change of perspective is needed: the focus of the debate must shift from the mere management of migration to the full and immediate protection of human rights, adopting “a coordinated, supportive and effective response, capable of guaranteeing protection, welcome and genuine opportunities for integration to those who migrate” (Address to the Spanish Parliament, Madrid, 8 June 2026)."

"Let us entrust migrant and refugee children to the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary who, together with Saint Joseph and the child Jesus experienced the cruelty of Herod’s violence and the tragedy of exile in Egypt (cf. Mt 2:13-15). May she accompany their steps and help our communities to become living and credible signs of the Gospel." - From the Vatican, 11 August 2026, Memorial of Saint Clare of Assisi; LEO PP. Since then, in Adelanto Detention Facility: "With Detainees being intentionally burned in Andelanto Detention Facility if not tortured/psychologically tortured; Article 5 of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights is outright being Violated: Article 5 of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” - The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

crime against humanity Crimes against humanity are specific crimes committed in the context of a large-scale attack targeting civilians, regardless of their nationality. These crimes include the most egregious violations of human dignity, especially those directed towards civilian populations. Crimes against humanity have often been committed as part of State policies, but they can also be perpetrated by non-State armed groups or paramilitary forces. As codified in Article 7 of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Statute, the following acts are punishable as crimes against humanity when perpetrated by a state actor as part of a systematic or widespread attack against a civilian population: murder; extermination; deportation or forcible transfer; false imprisonment; torture; rape, sexual slavery, or enforced sterilization; ethnic persecution; disappearance; apartheid; "Other inhumane acts of a similar character intentionally causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or to mental or physical health." The intent requirement for liability is "knowledge of the attack." - Definition Of Crimes Against Humanity, Cornell Law School: Crimes Against Humanity Definition: Crimes Against Humanity Definition: https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/crime_against_humanity

As A Priest, I will have to remind you We as a Christians have a Duty to Help The Immigrant and Treat The Foreigner well...if we do not and they cry out to the Lord...the Lord will surely hear their cry and we will have the Law of Consequences as a subsequent result of our Rebellion Against God. So, What Does The Bible Say About Taking Care of The Immigrant/Treating The Foreigner Well?: “You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry,” Exodus 22:21-23

In this verse, Moses speaks the commandment God decreed; that the Israelites shouldn’t wrong the stranger(foreigner/immigrant) in their midst, lest their cries be heard by God and God will enact Law of Consequences on them (those who harmed the immigrants/widowers, children; etc.), most severely. This still applies to us Christians…do unto others. Surpassing the limitations placed on us Christians…we place ourselves as Liable for Judgement.

"If Someone believes they can kill someone, what is to stop them from killing anyone?" - Mother Theresa

If you substitute kill for "Harm" in Mother Theresa's Teaching...then it is apparent what you are witnessing concerning these Human Rights Violations. Your duty as American Citizens is to Report Trump's Human Rights Violations to The UN for Legal Accountability. This is Love, through Legal Accountability, for the individual's Restoration.

You need to learn your rights, above all you should report these Human Rights Abuses To The UN to safeguard Human Life from Trump.
I will reiterate this as a Certified Human Rights Consultant (while not a Lawyer, I am Legal Counsel for International Law; specifically Human Rights): You can—and should—report human rights abuses. Even if they are not prosecuted, publicity or the prospect of an investigation can have a restraining effect on the perpetrators. 1. List the specific Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that have been violated. 2. State the facts, as far as possible in chronological order. 3. Include the date, time and place of the incident(s); name and position of the perpetrator(s); place of detention if applicable; names and addresses of any witnesses and any other important details. Organizations to report to:
Amnesty International
Human Rights Action Center

God Bless, Stay Safe and above all, Fight Your Hardest for The Light( The Love for Others that remains...do not allow yourself the inability to Love Others...this is what happened to The Idolater/Christian Nationalists. Father Gabrielle Amorth's puts this succinctly in this quote: "The ability to love comes from grace, and it is much reduced in those who do not know Christ; and even more so in those who know Him but do not follow Him, a choice that assumes a serious sin." - Father Gabrielle Amorth. In Father Gabrielle Amorth's Ruling: Love comes from God, it is much reduced in those who do not know Christ (aka Non-believers), even more so in those who know him but choose not to follow him(aka Fallen Christians who Profess to be of Christ but Have Hatred in Their Hearts for Others. They do not have God's Holy Spirit and are not saved no matter what they Profess. So do not Believe Them And Do Not Count Them As Part Of The Body of Christ. They are not Christian no matter what they Profess...this is the ruling))). God's Holy Spirit isn't in The Idolaters anyways... they sold their Soul for a Single Human Being (Idolatry)...outside of Possession (Diabolical Obsession) which was the Immediate Consequence of that sale of their Soul...they lost God's Holy Spirit in that moment because they broke The 1st Commandment "You Shall have no Other Gods before me"(Exodus 20:3). So Pray for their Souls (that they can be Delivered from Their Spirit Evils that inhabit them due to selling their souls for a Single Human Being) and Repent and are Redeemed)) and Safeguard Life(especially from all that Seeks its Annihilation) and Love Others; Your Enemies (those who wish you harm). Again, be of Love, because God is Love!

I will reiterate that as Christians/Catholics, we are morally obligated to safeguard the victims of Hatred and Wrong. Dietrich Bonhoeffer puts this succinctly in this quote: “Let the fellowship of Christ examine itself and see whether it has given any token of love of Christ to the victims of the world’s contumely and contempt, any token of that love of Christ which seeks to preserve, support and protect life. Otherwise however liturgically correct our serves are, and however devout our prayer, however brave our testimony, they will profit us nothing, nay rather, they must needs testify against us that we have as a Church ceased to follow our Lord. " - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost Of Discipleship
We have a duty to make human rights complaint cases and crimes against humanity cases against the godless and inherently illegal (according to international law) actions of the Human Messiah and his idolatrous supporters against American Civilians (regardless if immigrants or us citizens).
