Again, Trump’s Mass Deportation Program is correctly ruled as “Ethnic Cleansing” According to the UN’s Definition of Ethnic Cleansing as well as the rest of the world’s and I do Affirm this as an Certified Human Rights Consultant (Certified By The US Institute of Diplomacy And Human Rights). In the Month of May and into the Month of June, we’ve witnessed Mayors, US Congressmen and even US Senators detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) and The Department of Homeland Security. As Catholics and as Christians we are witnessing outright the Rule of Hatred and Depravity (which I directly talk about in My June 2nd Sermon: Standing Against Trumpism As An Christian In 2025). With Children literally being kidnapped from School by ICE Agents violating Constitutional Rights and Human Rights (The Universal Declaration of Human Rights) as well as outright ignoring The Convention On The Rights Of The Child (which is the main reason for my Human Rights Campaign to begin with); not excluding the fact of separating Children from their Families, which is purposefully caused Trauma to the Children; so Psychological Torture…Torture under The Geneva Convention. We have a direct example of this, Trump’s 4th Grader Victim…a Child by the name of Martir Garcia Lara. According To The News Article: “Southern California boy deported to Honduras following ICE detainment”:
“A Southern California fourth grader who was detained by immigration officials was deported and is now living with his father in Honduras. Martir Garcia Lara, 9, is adjusting to his new life in the small town of Tegucigalpa. “I was scared to come here,” he shared in an interview with Univision. Lara was a student at Torrance Elementary School whose detainment sparked outrage from teachers and community members who knew the boy. On May 29, he attended an immigration hearing in downtown Los Angeles with his father, Martir Garcia-Banegas, 50. Instead of receiving an update on their immigration status, the boy and his father were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). After a short separation, the next day, they were transferred to an immigration facility in Texas with plans to deport them to Honduras. ICE officials said on July 10, 2021, the boy and his father left their hometown and illegally entered the U.S. On Sept. 1, 2022, an immigration judge ordered the pair to return to Honduras. Garcia-Banegas appealed the decision, but on Aug. 11, 2023, the appeal was dismissed. Again, it is Inhumane and Cruelty is the Point. As an Certified Human Rights Consultant/International Law Counsel for Human Rights, this is my observation of the Human Rights Violations inflicted on Martir Garcia Lara by The Trump Administration:
On May 29nth, 2025, The Victim, Martir Garcia Lara (an 4th grade Student in Torrance, California School District) with his Father; Martir Garcia-Banegas, while a tending an Immigration Court Hearing, were Arbitrarily Arrested by The Immigration And Customs Enforcement Agency in Los Angeles, California. The Victim and their Father, upon being Detained, were separated from each other (Family Separation which is against The Convention On The Rights Of The Child Articles 1,3, 4,5,6, 8, 9, 10 and numerous others. Article 9 Of The Convention On The Rights Of The Child: “States Parties shall ensure that a child shall not be separated from his or her parents against their will, except when competent authorities subject to judicial review determine, in accordance with applicable law and procedures, that such separation is necessary for the best interests of the child. Such determination may be necessary in a particular case such as one involving abuse or neglect of the child by the parents, or one where the parents are living separately and a decision must be made as to the child's place of residence. In any proceedings pursuant to paragraph 1 of the present article, all interested parties shall be given an opportunity to participate in the proceedings and make their views known. States Parties shall respect the right of the child who is separated from one or both parents to maintain personal relations and direct contact with both parents on a regular basis, except if it is contrary to the child's best interests. Where such separation results from any action initiated by a State Party, such as the detention, imprisonment, exile, deportation or death (including death arising from any cause while the person is in the custody of the State) of one or both parents or of the child, that State Party shall, upon request, provide the parents, the child or, if appropriate, another member of the family with the essential information concerning the whereabouts of the absent member(s) of the family unless the provision of the information would be detrimental to the well-being of the child. States Parties shall further ensure that the submission of such a request shall of itself entail no adverse consequences for the person(s) concerned." – Article 9 Of The Convention On The Rights Of The Child), were transferred to an Immigration Detention Facility in Houston Texas, pending Deportation to Honduras, regardless of Family Separation and possible Reunification(which is a guaranteed Right In The Convention On The Rights Of The Child). The Torrence California's School District as well as the PTA; soon after the Arbitrary Arrest and Detention of the Victim (a Minor), began pooling resources together to find out what happened, what legal options they had to help ensure the release of the victim from detention as according to the news sources reporting on the incident in question: "PTA members and concerned residents have reached out to federal, state and local leaders, asking them to intervene while encouraging other parents and community members to help in any way they can. King said she and other PTA members are also prepared to help the boy and his father with any legal aid or financial assistance should they need it. Officials from the Torrance Unified School District said they are aware of Lara’s detainment." – News Article: “California Fourth Grader Detained By ICE Sparks Outrage”
So, Outside of the news sources, there is no information on who is representing the victim or even if he has representation (which is illegal for the victim to have no legal representation (which is a violation of the 5-7th Amendments of the US Constitution as well as an outright violation of Articles 6-11 of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights (I originally wrote this case outline on June 10nth)). However, ICE will follow it's expedited removal proceedings while not following International Law (specifically The Convention On The Rights of The Child as well as The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights). As an Certified Human Rights Consultant (Certified By The US Institute Of Diplomacy And Human Rights) as well as an Certified Child Rights Consultant (Certified By The US Institute of Diplomacy And Human Rights, I state in No Uncertain Terms that the Victim; a Child of Trump's Mass Deportation Program, which is correctly ruled as "Ethnic Cleansing" according to The UN's Definition of "Ethnic Cleansing". Martir Garcia Lara, a Child is one of numerous victims in The Trump Administration’s Campaign of Terror/Racism and Hatred to Immigrants that do fit the Ethnicities that Donald J Trump Despises. This is a Reign of Terror and Evil that the Catholic Church stands against and I as a Priest as well as an Human Rights Consultant, also Stand Against and urge you to do the same. So, as a reminder, what Constitutional Laws is Trump Breaking In The Trump Administration’s Mass Deportation Program (that is correctly ruled as “Ethnic Cleansing”)? The US Bill of Rights Constitutional Amendments that Trump Is Violating Is:
“Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
“Fifth Amendment: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
“Sixth Amendment: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.”
“Seventh Amendment: In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”
“Eighth Amendment: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
“Ninth Amendment: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
“Tenth Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” – The US Bill Of Rights
The 4th Amendment Protects against any Unlawful Search and Seizure by the US Government (which ICE without warrants is doing, which is Illegal). The 12th Article of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights is equivalent: “Article 12: No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.” – The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights
The 5th Amendment gives numerous protections for individuals accused of crimes, such as serious criminal charges have to be started by a Grand Jury, that an individual cannot be tried twice for the same crime (double jeopardy), individuals have the right against self-incrimination and cannot be imprisoned without due process (so fair procedures and fair trials) nor have their property taken away from them without just compensation.
The 6th Amendment gives numerous additional protections to individuals that are accused of crimes, such as being informed of their criminal charges, the right to a speedy and public trial and the right to trial by an impartial jury in their criminal cases and to be allowed representation by a lawyer and to have their own witnesses and to face the witnesses against them. The 7nth Amendment gives them additional rights, including the extended right to a jury trial in their Federal civil cases. The 8th Amendment disallows excessive fines and excessive bail as well as cruel and unusual punishment. The 9nth Amendment itself outright states that listing specific rights in the Constitution does not mean that individuals do not have other rights that are not listed nor spelled out in The Constitution. The Equivalent Articles Of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights to these Amendments to the US Constitution are as follows:
Article 1: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
Article 2: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.”
Article 3: “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.” (The Right To Life)
Article 4: “No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.”
“Article 5: No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
“Article 6: Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.”
“Article 7: All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.”
“Article 8: Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law.”
“Article 9: No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.”
“Article 10: Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him.”
“Article 11: Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence. No one shall be held guilty of any penal offence on account of any act or omission which did not constitute a penal offence, under national or international law, at the time when it was committed. Nor shall a heavier penalty be imposed than the one that was applicable at the time the penal offence was committed.” – The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights
Again, Cruel Intentions towards Children (Martir Garcia Lara and numerous others); purposeful Separation from Families…this Psychological Torture is a clear Violation of Article 5 Of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” – The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights
I will also reiterate Article 19 of The Convention On The Rights Of The Child: “States Parties shall take all appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to protect the child from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse, while in the care of parent(s), legal guardian(s) or any other person who has the care of the child. Such protective measures should, as appropriate, include effective procedures for the establishment of social programmes to provide necessary support for the child and for those who have the care of the child, as well as for other forms of prevention and for identification, reporting, referral, investigation, treatment and follow-up of instances of child maltreatment described heretofore, and, as appropriate, for judicial involvement.” – The Convention On The Rights Of The Child
In The Trump Administration’s purposeful targeting of Children in Trump’s Mass Deportation Program, Psychological Torture is classified under “Mental Violence” in Accordance To The Convention On The Rights Of The Child. Again, while The USA did sign the Convention On The Rights Of The Child, The USA did not Ratify The Convention on The Rights Of The Child(CRC) into Law; therefore allowing Trump placing Children into Cages in Trump’s Zero Tolerance Immigration Policy in Trump’s 1st Presidency and this continues now into May of 2025. Again, Cruelty/Psychological Torture…so Mental Violence against Children is the point in The Trump Administration’s Reign of Terror on Immigrants; a Clear Violation of International Law; The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which the USA did sign and ratify into Law.
Again, the Catholic Church has not remained silent nor apathetic to this Evil. Several months ago, Pope Francis Decreed Trump as Anti-Life ( A Threat to Human Life) and I do cover this in My February 2025 Update On Child Rights And Human Rights )). With the passing of Pope Francis and the Election of Pope LEO XIV; The Catholic Church is dedicated to confronting this Depravity/Malevolence/Evil; especially today. Again, I as a Priest Stand Against Trumpism and this Depravity that is happening near daily here in the USA; especially because of what Psychologically and Spiritually drives it; The Domination and Destruction of What Donald J. Trump Despises. Is The Trump Administration guilty of Human Rights Violations/Ethnic Cleansing (By The UN's Definition of "Ethnic Cleansing)? The Answer is Yes. Can the Trump Administration be trusted with Children, let alone Human Life? With The Revoking of Human Rights, Mass Deportations(that are fueled by Racism/Xenophobia(mental illness to say the least); logically No. From a Psychological Perspective, when it comes to Psychology, we as Humans are Creatures of Habit, there are Patterns To Behavior; so there are no Blue Moon/Isolated Incidents; there is only Premeditation in this case involving desire to harm/Remove and Revoke Human Rights (especially Due Process and Habeas Corpus of their current Victims and Future Victims). We as Christians cannot be Apathetic to Evil (Complacent/Complicit to Evil). Dietrich Bonhoeffer in this quote Defines Apathy To Evil succinctly: "Silence in the face of Evil, is itself Evil. As A Priest, I stand with the Catholic Church in Opposition to Trump's Inhumane actions against Immigrants. Again, the Pope did Decree that Trump is Anti-Life (A Threat To Human Life) due to his Treatment And Hatred of Immigrants. View Immigrants As Created In God’s Image (as well as all Human Beings for that matter since we all share the form of our Creator and God is in each Human that you meet): 1 Genesis 1:26-28
Welcome The Immigrant: Matthew 25:35 (What we do to Others, we do so unto God and this is found in Matthew 25:31-46)
Love The Immigrant (Love Thy Neighbor): Luke 10:25-37 (Our Neighbors are Defined As Those Around Us…aka Human Beings around us regardless. Again for the Christian, there can be no limit as to who their Neighbors are.)
Speak up for the Immigrant: Proverbs 31:8 (aka speak up for others, the immigrant, the poor and the suffering)
Execute Justice for The Immigrant: Deuteronomy 10:18 (we as Christians are to be champions and ensure justice for those oppressed/suffering.
I will also add to this…Our Neighbor is Defined As The Other Human Being (those around us). This is found in The Good Samaritan Gospel; which also exemplifies what “Empathy” is and with the Idolatrous Trump Supporters claiming there is the “Sin of Empathy”, time for a Sacramental Correction in this. Let’s take a look at Luke 10:25-37: And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. In Luke Chapter 10, Jesus Teaches In No Uncertain Terms to The Disciples and Us that the other Human Being is our Neighbor and there can be no limit as to who our Neighbors are. Jesus also in this Parable states In No Uncertain Terms to the Disciples and us to have Compassion on others; specifically Human Suffering. Not only that in the Parable, but Jesus also demonstrates that the cultural enemy of the time, can be used by God to do Good. Jesus also demonstrates in this Parable that the Religious Individuals/those of the State/Spiritually Corrupted Individuals and Us too…aka those who did not Help the Human that was on the road bleeding out…that they were equally as guilty as the Perpetrator for standing by and doing nothing as an Human Suffered.
Again As A Priest, I have to Remind You that we as Christians are supposed to Protect/Defend/Treat Well The Immigrant. This is Found In The Bible:
"You shall not wrong or oppress an immigrant." Exodus 22:21
"The immigrant who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you." Leviticus 19:33-34 and 24:22
"Cursed be anyone who deprives the immigrant of justice." Deuteronomy 27:19

I as A Priest have to remind those of Christ that Hatred is Rebellion Against God. For God (He Himself) is Love, we as Christians have to be of Love and There Is Zero Exception To This. This is found in 1st John 4:7-21 (Imago Dei(In God's Image)):"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:7-8. In these two verses, St. John states in No Uncertain Terms that God (He Himself) is Love. Those Who Are Not Of Love, are Not Of God...no matter what they Profess. God Is Love, God (He) is The Source Of Love...those who are not of Love are not of God nor have the capability to be of Love. Father Gabrielle Amorth puts all of this succinctly in this quote: "The ability to love comes from grace, and it is much reduced in those who do not know Christ; and even more so in those who know Him but do not follow Him, a choice that assumes a serious sin." - Father Gabrielle Amorth
In Father Gabrielle Amorth's Ruling: Love comes from God, it is much reduced in those who do not know Christ (aka Non-believers), even more so in those who know him but choose not to follow him(aka Fallen Christians who Profess to be of Christ but Have Hatred in Their Hearts for Others. They do not have God's Holy Spirit and are not saved no matter what they Profess. So do not Believe Them And Do Not Count Them As Part Of The Body of Christ. They are not Christian no matter what they Profess...this is the ruling (Their lack of Empathy for others, from a Psychological Perspective...they cannot Be Trusted With Human Life either)).
