My extreme thanks to all who have signed our petition. As some of you don't know, this petition was started 10 years ago when Ryan first lost all his rights in guardianship court. After the Justice Minister and Public Guardian arranged to have a lawyer for Ryan, we closed the petition thinking the "public guardian" was an advocate for vulnerable adults, at least that's what their official "mandate" states to be. 

Unfortunately, this is not the case. As many of you read non stop headlines about institutional abuse lasting decades in junior sport, hockey, catholic school 60s scoop, special needs abuse in care homes, you may notice one thing in common. They are all "self regulated", the wolf protecting the sheep. The public guardians office is no different, any issues reported to them that implicate the government failures are met with secrecy and hostility towards the complaintent. 

Ryan has been removed from his music and family for the last 7 years, based on a false assessment the public guardian admits may have been in use for the last decade. And they insist, they can't comment, despite having taxpayer funds, mandate, legal department that not only could comment before the fake assessment was used against Ryan, but also got him a temporary lawyer that said he shouldnt even have a guardian given his competency? 

This fake assessment needs to be investigated fully by the Justice Department, and my birthday gift to Ryan is my voice, it will be loud, clear, unrelenting and will not stop until the the investigation is launched and a public apology is issued to Ryan for the injustice he has faced at the hands of immoral public officials have subjected him to.
