Dear fabulous petition signers, We hadn't surpassed 200 names on Thursday afternoon, and we've now gone past the 1000 mark. Thank you for continuing to share and promote this petition. It is clear that Whole Foods is watching, and I'll be sending them another email asking about their intended response. While they originally were not responding to posts about Eden Foods on Facebook, they've now taken to responding to most postings with a pro-forma "When reviewing products, our primary consideration is whether they meet our high quality standards. We hope that if you have any feedback for Eden Foods, you'll share it with them directly." In short, we know Whole Foods is watching. They even initially said that they thought the petition was 'losing steam.' But we're only growing. And we've yet to see any action on their part. A thousand signatories is great, but 5,000 is much harder to ignore. Please keep spreading the word, and showing Eden Foods that their decision to deny equitable health coverage for their employees is going to hit their bottom line sooner rather than later. And while you're at it, others have been encouraging their local organic food stores to drop Eden products as well. The Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling may have harmed access to contraceptive healthcare for many employees but we can respond as empowered and organized consumers! Thank you a thousand-fold!
