Where is Sai Krishna?

We demand an immediate CBI inquiry into his disappearance.

A mother should not have to spend weeks asking whether her son is alive.

Gade Sai Krishna, a young man from Vijayawada, has reportedly been missing since 9 May 2026.

According to his family, Sai Krishna was taken from Markapuram by police personnel associated with Krishnalanka Police Station and brought to Vijayawada. Since that day, his family says they have neither seen him nor received any official information regarding his whereabouts.

Sai Krishna's mother, Smt. Gade Vijayalakshmi, has repeatedly pleaded for answers, asking only to know whether her son is alive.

Unable to obtain answers from the authorities, she approached the Hon'ble Andhra Pradesh High Court through a Habeas Corpus petition seeking production of her son.

The Hon'ble Andhra Pradesh High Court has reportedly directed the authorities to trace and produce Sai Krishna before the Court by 29 June 2026. Courts have reportedly directed preservation of CCTV footage and other electronic evidence. The State Government has reportedly ordered disciplinary action against certain police personnel and initiated an inquiry.

However, these actions came only after weeks of uncertainty, persistent pleas from Sai Krishna's mother, growing public concern, media scrutiny, and intervention by the Hon'ble High Court. Many citizens believe that the State Government's response has been delayed and has, unfortunately, weakened public confidence in the existing inquiry's ability to independently establish the truth.

Serious questions remain unanswered.

If Sai Krishna was never taken into custody, the authorities should clearly state so and disclose the basis for that conclusion.

If he was detained, arrested, questioned, transferred, or released, the authorities should transparently disclose when, where, by whom, and under what circumstances.

If authorities maintain that they are still searching for Sai Krishna despite allegations that he was taken from Markapuram and brought to Vijayawada by police personnel, then an independent investigation becomes essential - not to prejudge anyone's guilt, but to establish the truth beyond doubt and restore public confidence.

This petition does not seek to pronounce anyone guilty.

It asks only that the truth be discovered through an investigation that inspires public confidence.

It seeks only one thing:

TRUTH.

WE RESPECTFULLY DEMAND:

IMMEDIATE TRANSFER OF THE INVESTIGATION TO THE CBI
The allegations in this matter involve police personnel themselves. In such circumstances, an investigation by an agency independent of the local police hierarchy is necessary to preserve evidence, protect witnesses, ensure impartiality, and reassure citizens that no person — whether innocent or guilty — will be shielded or wrongly blamed.

We respectfully demand that the investigation into Sai Krishna's disappearance be immediately transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on an urgent basis.

IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF ALL EVIDENCE
Preserve and secure all potentially relevant evidence, including:

• CCTV footage from police stations and surrounding areas;

• DVRs, hard disks, servers, and backup systems;

• General diaries and station records;

• Call detail records;

• Vehicle movement logs and GPS records;

• Custody registers;

• Mobile phone records;

• Hospital, mortuary, and crematorium records; and

• Any other evidence that may assist in determining Sai Krishna's whereabouts and the circumstances of his disappearance.

WITNESS PROTECTION
Establish a confidential mechanism and provide protection for any person willing to disclose information relevant to Sai Krishna's disappearance.

No person possessing material information should fear retaliation for coming forward.

TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Ensure that periodic status reports are submitted before the Hon'ble Andhra Pradesh High Court and shared with Sai Krishna's family so that public confidence in the justice system is maintained.

APPEAL TO HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES ORGANIZATIONS
We respectfully request the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), civil liberties organizations, bar associations, legal aid groups, national and international human rights organizations, and democratic institutions to closely monitor this matter, extend assistance to the family where appropriate, and advocate for a prompt, impartial, and transparent investigation.

1. If Sai Krishna is alive, let him be produced.

3. No mother should spend weeks pleading merely to know whether her child is alive.

7. No family should have to beg merely to know whether their loved one is alive.
