Dear compassionate supporters,
As we mark the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, we are reminded of the devastating impact it has had on so many lives. We stand in solidarity with all those who have been affected by the conflict, including the African students who fled Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion in February 2022.
We are humbled by the outpouring of support we have received from those who have signed and shared our petition. We are also grateful to the journalists who have amplified our voices and used their platforms to tell our stories. We want to thank 5 News, BBC, The Independent, Context News, Global Citizen, and VOA Africa for featuring our stories and plea for help this week. We have included links to these articles for your reference.
The media coverage has helped raise awareness of our situation, and for that, we are deeply grateful. It is heartening to know that our stories have touched so many people, and we are encouraged by the outpouring of support we have received.
However, our struggle is far from over. We continue to face obstacles that threaten our education, safety, and future. As we continue our fight, we ask for your continued support. Here are some ways you can help:

Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
African students who fled Ukraine.
