Dear UNHCR Officials,
I reach out to you today in a state of utter despair, after your inhumane decisions have shattered my life, crushed my hopes, and obstructed every goal and aspiration I had for a safe and stable future. I fled persecution and violence, leaving everything behind in search of protection. But instead of finding safety and support, I have been abandoned to endure extreme hardship, severe discrimination, and unforgivable neglect.
I see no explanation for what is happening to me other than a personal, unjust decision that contradicts the very humanitarian values you claim to uphold. You are supposed to be the last refuge for those with nowhere else to turn, yet your decisions have only worsened my suffering and made me feel like my life holds no value.
Despite this, I continue to plead for your intervention and demand that you uphold the international conventions and laws that exist to protect refugees and save lives. Bureaucracy and indifference should not be the reason my life is lost. You are the entity responsible for my protection, and I call upon you to act urgently before it is too late.
If there is no humanity left in this world, then where is it within your organization, which claims to stand for it?
Awaiting your urgent response,
Abderrazak Akouchad
