Sorry for the lack of updates here, we have been quiet over the Facebook page aswell.
With various members being unavailable, the campaign hasn't progressed for about 3 months. Now we are aiming to move again. The petition was closed for unknown reasons but was revamped before I wrote this update.
The next stages for the campaign is to update information as we are talking a slightly different turn. Instead of trying to get trains down the line, we are going to aim to preserve the line in favor of possible trains to go down the line. This will make people who want the trains and don't both happy. Also in the works is to form a committee. I tried this back in January and members were unavailable and i have had no experience creating one. Having a committee will make a stronger approach when competing against the council, Network rail etc. So we are moving up and beyond.
Thanks for staying with us, be sure to go over to Facebook for more regular updates :)
Linked is a video I made on visiting 1369 at the South Devon Railway, Which was an icon on the Weymouth Tramway many years ago.
