It is excellent news that the Council have taken the decision to rescind the contract with Acorn. However the battle is far from won. In their announcement the Council state "We will keep residents as informed as possible in the process of this sale. But at times it will be necessary to take decisions in confidential sessions." It is of course understood the certain details may need to be discussed in private sessions. However their suggestion that they may again do some murky deal behind closed doors should not be accepted.
