Dear Representative Peisch,  

We, the undersigned residents of Weston, request that you, as our member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, do everything in your power to facilitate the progress of HD3362 for review and approval by the General Court in the 2023 session. This will enable the voters of Weston to approve or deny the bill to increase our Select Board membership from 3 to 5 at Weston's Annual Town Election in May 2024.

The History: At Town Meeting last May, the Town voted overwhelmingly to consider increasing the Select Board membership from three (3) to five (5).

Since then, three people, namely the Select Board of Weston, have prevented this question from being put on a Town wide ballot. As a result, our State Representative Alice Peisch has put the bill on the house docket for us. But it is most likely not her top priority among her 34 bills.

Your signature on this petition will help Representative Peisch prioritize shepherding our bill through the legislative process. We need your signature to make it clear that the Town wants to decide the issue of increasing the size of the Select Board, and not leave it to the three Select Board members.
