Petition updateStop Rampant Residential Development in Westfield, INYOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE! NEW DEVELOPMENTS ON WOOD WIND PUD

In a tie vote the APC could not send a recommendation to the City Council for Pulte's Wood Wind proposal. It should also be noted that a member who was out of town sent a letter voting NO to Pulte, but the APC, by state law could not count it. In addition, one of the members who voted YES was asked by many unforced citizens to recuse himself because of an ethical conflict of interest, as his son works for Pulte, the petitioner of this project. Because of this non-recommendation to the City Council, Pulte has with drawn from Monday, Feb. 13th's City Council agenda. Either they will appear at another council meeting within 90 days or perhaps request to be sent back to APC. It is unclear at this time. We want to give a huge thank you to Chris Woodard, Tom Smith, Dr. Ginny Kelleher, Dave Schmitz and Bob Smith for doing what is right for Westfield by voting NO on this proposal. They have invested hundreds of hours reviewing this PUD, attending meetings and giving input to try and make this better. Pulte didn't respond and they voted NO. Please take a moment and send a thank you to them. The address is apc@westfield.in.gov. Keep the letters coming to the City Council, at councilmembers@westfield.in.gov, we still have a fight ahead of us. Remind them that this plan does not follow the Comprehensive Plan authored by hundreds of Westfield citizens. The potential for creating something really special in this area due to location and topography is huge. Mayor Cook has mentioned that he is looking for quality not quantity!
