As class officers, we are trying our best to respond to the needs of our classmates but it seems like the only thing making it difficult are decisions coming mostly from those in the district. It’s very insensitive to leave out my Muslim peers who have also not gotten anything out of their senior and junior years. This year has been difficult for all of us and if 2020 taught us anything it’s to value and listen to your minority students and meet their needs. Ramadan is not something they can choose to participate in, it’s a religious holiday that has to be respected just like we respect Christmas and Easter. We need this Spring Gala to be all-inclusive but we need your support to achieve our goal.
