So polling day has arrived and you may have already exercised your right.  We are focussing on Sligo North Leitrim for this election as it seems this is likely to be the first section of the greenway built, but be warned there are spoofers out there who are standing for election who are spinning yarns about alongside greenways  and the railway (which is just srap) cannot be touched.  They are spoofers.

1. The all island rail review supported by governments north and south supported the idea of a greenway on the closed railway until such time as railway is possible
2. Irish Rail have stated that north of Claremorris the line has scrap value, they support a greenway on the route.
3. There are still spoofer politicians out there trying to stop the invesment in county Sligo for the Sligo Greenway spinning yarns about railways coming back
4. The earliest this could happen is generally recognised as 2050.
5. The only option at the moment is Greenway now railway when it becomes possible, but keep the route in public ownership

The spoofers will tell you otherwise.  So today if you have not yet cast your vote and if the greenway matters for you here are the three who most definitely support our cause in Sligo Leitrim South Donegal
