Mail to: rses@nwra.ie The new draft Regional Spatial Economic Strategies should include the plans for a greenway on the closed railway from Athenry to Collooney in order to protect the route in public ownership. This would be a massive boost to tourism along the Atlantic Economic Corridor. Tourism is one of our biggest employers. The closed railway is highly unlikely to re-open. A greenway will protect the route forever just in case the railway ever becomes possible. Please build this idea into the new Regional Strategies. Thank you.
