Shane Ross our Minister of Transport has now received over 11,500 emails from petitioners who have signed this petition and yet has said not a word in public about Sligo to Athenry Greenway. Very soon he will be publishing a greenway strategy, and we have a sneaking suspicion we are going to be ignored again. Not very good is it? Which is why I am asking you all to send another email yourself and in your own words ask Minister Ross why he is ignoring the demands of greenway campaigners and why he is commissioning another report into the prospects of a railway re-opening when we all know it is not going to happen. Come on Shane Ross why can't we have our greenway. Go on then! Let's all each send him a personalized email - minister@dttas.ie and ask him what the problem is with the simple idea and ask him why is ignoring the general public clamouring for this simple solution? Why are you ignoring us Minister?
