Petition updateSave Our Native Wildlife: Amend the Cat ActReport: Missing cat reappears after EIGHT YEARS (today’s West Australian)

This tom cat lived off the land for EIGHT YEARS in Perth’s bushy southern fringes (Mundijong). It's no miracle that a feline survived so long given the defenceless native wildlife endemic to the area - it is shameful, and should be treated as such.

No doubt the cat lived quite well on quendas, chudditch, baby birds, reptiles and more. No recourse for the owner except this feel good story in The West Australian.

Given everything we know about the devastation wrought by cats, it's astounding that the journalist ignored the cost to our native species incurred by this kind of negligence.  Stories like these demonstrate the need for change.
