This is a petition to keep Logan County (Logan, WV) JROTC open and accessible for all students.
It's been proven over and over again that this program helps and promotes structure as well as teaches and encourages the following: respect, loyalty, integrity, honor, selfless service, as well as duty to your obligations.
This program is very important to our teenagers in this county. This program enforces and encourages students to attend school and gives them a feeling of achievement of confidence. Students in this program have a drive and students that are not even in this program respect & encourage it.
The JROTC program in Logan County educates our high school students on very valuable skills such as leadership and responsibility. The JROTC program opens up scholarship opportunities for our next generation that is about to take off and spread their wings in the world. Shouldn't we, as a society, encourage this? This program gives opportunity for young adults that have an interest in the Armed Forces to have an advantage, should they decide to join. It also instills necessary traits of confidence, self-reliance & respect to those who do not choose a path of Armed Forces following high school. This program is very important and loved by the high school students of Logan County.
