Self Defense and Stand your Ground??

What does this look like for you?  Allow us to question as well as challenge your humanity with the regards to right and wrong. We all know that we have a very broken criminal justice system that is set up for profit. Understand that the issue can't be fixed over night, but in order to expect change we must start the conversation as well as do the work required to see change.

How is it that Kent Taylor who had NO prior convictions, was/is a family man, father, husband, licensed gun owner, was licensed to conceal and carry at that time, tax paying citizen, concrete business owner and a stand up citizen in the community is not afforded the right "to stand his ground" when he was put into a situation where he was forced to protect himself. Kent was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and charged with 1st degree murder. He was originally charged with 2nd degree murder but when he didn't accept the Assistant Prosecutor's deal the charges were changed to 1st degree.

It is important that we protect everyone no matter the race, color, gender or nationality. If your loved one was faced with fighting for his/her life, what side of the issue would you "Stand your Ground" on?

Kent has been incarcerated for 9 years with ZERO infractions in prison. Which speaks volumes of the type of Man he is and was. He hasn't stopped fighting since day one and neither have We.
