The WEP- Windfall Elimination Provision effect over 2 million retires from Police, Fire, Rallroad and Teachers and other careers across the United States who retired and didn't pay into Social Security but also worked a career and paid into Social Security and earned 40 credits. SSA benefits should not be reduced. GPO-Government Pension Offset effects your spousal or survivor benefits by reducing their benefits by two thirds.
