New Seasons Market, Raise Your Minimum Wage to $15 Now!

The Issue

New Seasons is a large, well-loved, and very profitable grocery store chain that was started in Portland, Oregon that was founded in 2000 and has since expanded to over 15 stores locally, and recently bought out a Northern California grocery chain.

New Seasons is a B-corporation, and as such it has employee policies that are better than many other companies. But while they do start their employees at a wage that is higher than Oregon's state minimum wage of $9.25, the fact is that as the company has grown their wages have not kept pace with the cost of living in Portland. Most New Seasons employees still make less than $15 per hour even after years on the job, and many still require public assistance benefits in order to take care of their families.

No one who works should live in poverty! We are calling on Wendy Collie, president and CEO of New Seasons Market, and the rest of the New Seasons Board of Directors to continue living up to their reputation as an employee friendly company by raising the minimum wage at all New Seasons owned stores to $15 per hour!
