This morning we woke up to a beautifully written blog by Swansea musician and broadcaster Mal Pope.
He grew up with Swansea Sound and remembers listening to the test transmissions and for the first time experiencing FM Stereophonic. From this point on he switched from listening to Radio 1 on medium wave to Swansea Sound. Read his full blog here:

Through your support WalesOnline has picked up on our campaign and published an accurate report describing what Swansea Sound means to the area. Since then the petition has attracted concerned local councillors and hundreds more signatures. We're forecasting reaching 3,000 by the end of the weekend if not today (Saturday).
