Help us save the Wellington Preserves and keep Wellington green!  Wellington’s Planning and Zoning board has approved for removal of the word “conservation” to allow for a zoning change for development of two natural preserve spaces near the Wellington Green Mall.  This move would remove 17 acres of green space, large tree canopies, homes of various wildlife to create move development we really don’t need in town.  We have plenty of retail space that have remained unoccupied for years. We don’t need more concrete and overdevelopment of town at the expense of our environment.  This zoning change also opens the door for other such destruction and development.  Wellington is designated as a Tree City USA town, let’s live up to that expectation. 

Sign this petition to tell the Wellington Village council you are against the destruction of the preserves! Let you voice be heard - tell the council to save the natural preserves and reject the proposal for development of this natural area!
