We want to see a sequel about adult team Aang &co. lives and adventures
The Issue
This petition is directed to Avatar's producers/creators (originals producers, not Netflix or Nickelodeon) but also to any skilled and talentuous animators (no 3D please) and writers who are ready to do it.
The purpose of my petition is to claim that a season,a book or a serie on adult team Aang lives is needed.
It could just be an (indepedent) (mini)serie to the show where we see what team Aang (in their 20-30's) became. I think filling the blanks between Atla and LoK is actually an important and lovely idea as we don't know what happened to 80 percent of the Atla cast. Some plots are staying not resolved.
I see many people arguing on what Avatar sequel deserve to be release.I'm personnally not against an adaptation of the comics as an season 4,I actually hope it will happen. But I also want to see the gaang in their adults lives (and I explain why on my petition).Do you understand that differents sequels/seasons can happen? It's not because the creators continue the show that they can't adapt Kyoshi's books too ( as an example).
We can easely declare we all once watched or heard about Avatar. It's a childhood memorie for an entire generation. It's a show about nature's elements bending, yeah this incredible serie really popular and famous in America, in France (where I live) and in many other countries.
Ten years after, people still enjoy and talk about Avatar as if the "last" episode has been broadcasted yesterday.
I know well the basic idea was 3 seasons and that's all.But since the following series Legend of Korra have been created, this argument is no longer valid.
Over 70 years separate the last airbender to the new waterbender.
Of team Aang, only Toph, Katara and Zuko are still alive. The latter having become gray-haired oldsters with 40 grandchildren as descendants (no kidding).
From that moment on,it's quite normal that we all ask ourselves questions.
Aang is said to was a 'bad' dad and Toph a bad mother.
The wedding of Aang and Katara,Zuko's baby mama, what did Sokka (the forget one) become, did he break up with Suki, where did Azula disapear (you can't stay a fake kemurikage for life),why Toph had such a bad relationship with her daugthers and how did they deal with their daddy issues?
A lot of questions stays without any answers.
I hoped the comics will brought us more informations but since Imbulance,no more news.
I'm actually quite surprised that it haven't been animated while it were superbly worked out and done.
It would be wonderful to see how did team Aang raised their childrens.Besides those ones are really interesting.
It is quite normal to wonder what could have happened in 70 years and to want to know it in another way than through flashbacks.
We saw the old versions of the charachters without even having the possibility of seeing them as young and french adults.
To Avatar's producers/creators if you are reading me : maybe you are too tired (or bored or busy) to continue the series or you haven't got ideas no more (it is a possibility)? Then why don't you delegate the Avatar production? There is a multiple of talentious men and women full of creative ideas who can retake the production of the series while being faithful to the story, the scenario, the art style (as good as Aaron Ehasz's I hope so) and the animation of Avatar.
It would be a real waste to leave the story like this without further explanation.
I've heard a live-action of the 3 seasons is in preparation which prove us the creators/producers remain as active as the fandom.
Better late than never so I decided to start this petition. Thanks Godness I still hope to see Twinkle Toes' team again at tv.
Thanks to those who sign and support, it's a great pleasure.
