Dear cat friends and lovers

A Poem to Hannah

It was the moment when mechanics became completely personal and logical.

I was lying on my bed with some young people smoking, before I quit hashish, when you rang the doorbell, dear Hannah. I opened the door to find you standing there next to Sophie, and I gladly let you in. You were nervous and angry, Hannah, and you came in as if you were going to conquer Poland, speaking in serious German to your friends in a clear, quiet voice, while I didn't understand a word. You stood with your back to me, tapping the floor with your new white sneakers. I said something that caught your attention, and you paid attention to what I said, then went back to talking to your friends. Suddenly, you turned halfway around, revealing your body to me, your curves and bends, and then your curves and bends captivated me, and I knew then for sure that the words of that very energetic person were true. I saw a special kind of mechanics, a mechanics in your body that doesn't belong to you alone, but to me as well. In that moment, the mechanics became personal; in that moment, the mechanics made perfect sense to my soul.

Best wishes
