Poem to Bettina :)

Dear Cat friends and lovers
A poem for Bettina.
After everything had turned upside down—after the armed robbery and the blow to my head by a Syrian criminal, after the attempted murder and identity theft by a conceited boy, after the stigma of the courts, after the paid hug arranged for me by a bubbly little fox, after the aggressive job offer imposed on me by a vain young Jordanian, after my German bank betrayed me—I lay wounded on my bed and began to reconsider my life. Then I made the decision to give up my drug addiction and face my economic reality, mainly to ease some of the burden on my brave father's pocket. The first thing I did then, after my body and mind had finally recovered without a single drug, was to call Bettina, my lawful wife, my other half, and the savior of my soul. I took my new phone and called Bettina. She answered curiously as I explained that I had quit the green. She was busy and didn't have time to talk, though she indicated that it was a good move. Her voice, heavy with pain and exhaustion from hard work, whispered with a sense of pride and honor, because she knew I wasn't lying to her; more than that, her mind knew I still cherished all her vibrant feelings with all my heart.
Best Wishes
