The deaths of a 56-year-old Berkeley County West Virginia man and his 9-year-old son, whose bodies were determined to have been executed before being set on fire, is now rightfully being treated as a double homicide investigation. 
 
The bodies of David Cole Hutzler, 56, and his son, James Aquilla Hutzler (Macky), 9, were found after the Jan. 6, 2012, fire. It was originally suspected Hutzler shot and killed his son before taking his own life, but police said that new evidence (2013) have changed the status to double homicide. It has been 11 years as of 2023 with no arrests made. 
 
This case has been in the hands of 4 investigators with the first charged with fraud 2 months after this crime. At that time, the 2nd detective received the Hutzler file with only FOUR pages in it. Evidence has went ‘missing’, the Governor’s office has taken our statement three times, with the files, just to magically disappear every time. They still do not have the gun, and no one we have recently spoke to have affirmed that the police have never re-interviewed them, if even interviewed to begin with! 
 
So many people have been giving leads, and as of 2023, the current detective is not interested in sitting down to talk about it.  WHAT IS GOING ON??? It has been 11 years as of 2023...... it is time to get the FBI involved.
