We want Slam N Jam!!!

We want Slam N Jam!!!
The Issue
As a student from a private school in New Orleans, I've experienced firsthand the segregation that exists within our education system. Our schools are separated by gender, creating an environment where interaction and camaraderie between all students is limited. This is why I propose that we should be allowed to come together through friendly competition in Slam N Jam.
Slam N Jam is more than just a game; it's an opportunity for us to interact, learn from each other, and form leaps beyond the boundaries of our individual schools. It's about fostering unity among us as students despite our different backgrounds.
According to the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), there are over 1,700 private schools across the US, with approximately 30% being single-sex institutions. This means thousands of students are missing out on opportunities for mixed-gender interaction and collaboration.
By allowing all private school kids to compete against each other in Slam N Jam, we can break down these barriers. We can create an environment where everyone feels included and has the chance to participate equally.
Let's make this change not only for ourselves but also for future generations of private school students who deserve the chance to experience inclusivity and unity through friendly competition. Please sign this petition today!
