To each and every single one of our valued petition signatories – we need YOU! You last heard from the Bring Back The Loggerheads campaign back in May. We asked for your thoughts on the ‘badge issue’ and then submitted them for consideration at the Supporters’ Parliament Badge Meeting. The dozens of passionate responses confirmed what we have known for over seven years; the Loggerheads crest is the club’s true badge and should be reinstated immediately. During the Badge Meeting, it was agreed that a vote will take place with Town fans voting in response to the question: ‘Do you think that Shrewsbury Town FC should change their current badge?’. The vote has been open since June, and will close at the end of August 2014. The club have confirmed that they will accept a majority decision. If more than 50% of the votes cast are YES votes; the irrelevant clip art lion will be removed and a new badge introduced ahead of the 2015/16 season. We are closer than ever before to restoring a crest which represents the history, heritage and identity of our beloved football club – but we still need YOUR help! While there’s been an unbelievable response so far – with 700 votes being received over the pre-season period – many reading this message will not yet have voted.
