We want SFP cages available on one product in each product line!
The Issue
Why do we want SFPs on our tower radios?
- Overcome distance limitations
- Overcome ESD issues
- Overcome lightning (non-direct strikes) issues
- Overcome RFI (AM, FM, two-way radio) issues
- Overcome grounding issues
- Reduce cable clutter going up the tower
- Reduce Ethernet errors
- Better suited to handle higher speeds of today's and tomorrow's gear
- More I can't think of at the moment
Personally I'd like dual SFP (or SFP+ if appropriate) interfaces so I can setup a more resilient infrastructure, but if I can't get you to agree to one, two is a stretch.
