We want footpaths! (Beresfield/Taro)

The issue

We are requesting the installation of a footpath along Beresford Avenue, as this street runs directly through our main shopping area and is heavily used by the community. Parents with prams, pedestrians walking to local shops, people using mobility scooters, and children riding bikes are currently forced to share the road with vehicles, creating significant safety concerns.

We are also seeking a footpath around Taro Park, our largest local park with great potential for community use. A continuous walking path around the park would allow residents to safely walk, exercise, push prams, and support children riding bikes. At present, the park does not safely accommodate these activities.

With a growing number of young families moving into our area, the need for safe pedestrian infrastructure has never been greater. Providing footpaths in these key locations would improve accessibility, encourage healthy outdoor activity, and most importantly, keep pedestrians off the road and safe.

Please sign our petition if you want to keep our pedestrian safe and see more footpaths!
